Our handsome building at 25 West Street houses our award-winning restaurant, an enviable drinks list, a sun-drenched roof terrace, a state-of-the-art stage and sound system for music and performance events, and The Wardrobe Theatre showing original, fringe theatre.

Our Story

The Old Market Assembly – Est. 2015

Everyone’s favourite venue in Old Market, The Old Market Assembly has been open since 2015.

Now an area buzzing with life, from cafes and bars to shops and offices we are proud to be part of the local community.

With delicious food, great Bristol booze and the best in late-night entertainment, we fly our flags with pride.

We’ll keep you eating, drinking and partying across town. Be it trying delicious vegan creations on Stokes Croft in The Canteen or sampling some of the refreshing beers down at No1 Harbourside our three independent venues, all follow the same vision with their own twists. Seasonal food, local booze and great nights out.

Accessibility

Limited Mobility / Wheelchair Access

Step-free access to the venue is available via the entrance to the left-hand side of the building. Just ring the doorbell and a member of our team will be happy to assist you. The Old Market Assembly is set across two floors and does not have a lift. However, our restaurant, bar, live music stage, theatre and accessible WC are all located on the ground floor and are fully step-free. A RADAR key is required to access the accessible WC. We keep one behind the bar – just ask a member of our team and we will get it for you.

Blind & Partially Sighted Guests

Assistance dogs are always welcome, and our team are trained to ensure guests visiting with assistance dogs have a comfortable and welcoming experience. Menus can also be made available digitally via QR code on request.

Deaf & Hard of Hearing Guests

Quieter tables are available on request, along with well-lit seating to support lip-reading where possible. Our team are always happy to communicate in writing if needed.

Coeliac & Dietary Requirements

We proudly cater for a wide range of dietary requirements and will always do our very best to accommodate your needs. Please be aware that all of our food is prepared in the same kitchen

where we make our pizzas using wheat flour. While we take every

precaution to minimise the risk of cross-contamination, we cannot

guarantee that any of our dishes are completely free from allergens.
